There are also festvals such as the Puerto Rican East Harlem Festival , which has been celebrated since 1985  every second weekend of June . There is a parade on the Sunday and Miss Puerto Rican is often present to represent her country and her people. It is a very popular festival with hundreds of thousands of people who come to celebrate the latino traditions and culture, to eat fabulous food, listen to music and dance.

This mural was painted to honor the latino community and the Puerto Rican Festival that is the largest latin festival in New York City.
